What's Happening at Dion
Walk past the community bulletin board on any given Tuesday and you'll see it: a flyer for a toddler storytime, a sign-up sheet for a poetry reading, notices about the fall skating program. This calendar exists because a library or community center is only as alive as the people who show up to fill it — and there's almost always something worth showing up for.
A Little of Everything
Our events don't fit neatly into one box, and that's intentional. Some weeks bring a visiting author who'll talk candidly about the messy process of writing a novel. Other weeks it's a hands-on craft session for kids, a seed-swap in early spring, or a quiet evening of live music in the reading room. Seasonal shifts bring their own rhythm too — outdoor movie nights in summer, warm-drink gatherings once the frost sets in.
- Author talks and book club discussions for adult readers
- Storytime, craft afternoons, and STEM activities for children
- Seasonal recreation programs, from skating lessons to garden workshops
- Community gatherings, drop-in socials, and volunteer meetups
Find Your Fit
You don't need a special reason to attend — curiosity is enough. Browse what's coming up, mark a date, and bring a neighbor along if you'd like. Most sessions are free or low-cost, and new additions get posted regularly, so it's worth checking back often. Have an idea for a gathering you'd love to see? We're always glad to hear it — just reach out and tell us what you have in mind.
